Today, the House of Representatives unanimously passed a resolution introduced by Congressman Gerry Connolly (D-VA) and Congressman Joe Wilson (R-SC) to recognize the importance of trilateral cooperation among the United States, Japan, and South Korea. Connolly and Wilson were joined in introducing the resolution by their fellow Korea Caucus co-chairs Reps. Ami Bera (D-CA), and Mike Kelly (R-PA), Japan Caucus Co-Chairs Reps. “The Trilateral Summit hosted by President Biden last August kickstarted a historic renewal of cooperation between our three nations as we seek a freer, more open, and more secure Indo-Pacific,” said Connolly. “I was proud to join so many of my colleagues in introducing this resolution recognizing the importance of cooperation between the U.S., Korea, and Japan, and the role the United States can play in fostering it. And I am prouder still to see our resolution passed by the House today.” The resolution is cosponsored by the following Representatives: Titus, Young Kim, Schneider, Moylan, Lieu, Steel, Cherfilus-McCormick, Kean Jr., Keating, Radewagen, Amo, Lawler, McCormick, and Allred.
