Connolly-Bulova To Host Opioid Roundtable

Congressman Gerry Connolly and Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Chairman Sharon Bulova will host a community roundtable on the opioid crisis next Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Fairfax County Government Center. The roundtable will include health and addiction experts including Virginia Secretary of Health and Human Resources William A. Hazel Jr., as well as representatives from the Fairfax County Department of Health, Fairfax County Community Services Board, Inova hospital, local first responders, and local law enforcement.

“This roundtable is an opportunity for our community to come together and bring the opioid epidemic out of the shadows,” said Congressman Gerry Connolly. “This is a crisis that’s impacting communities across Northern Virginia and our country. By bringing this panel of experts together, we hope people will know they aren’t alone in this fight and that there are resources available in our community to help with recovery.”

The event is open to the public and will be broadcast on Fairfax County channel 16.
