Congressman Connolly to Kickoff Infrastructure Week Across NoVa

Events Will Showcase Projects and Investments Funded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law

On Tuesday, Congressman Gerry Connolly (D-VA), Chairman of the House Government Operations subcommittee, will kick off his “Infrastructure Week,” a series of events demonstrating the critical investments the bipartisan infrastructure law will support throughout Northern Virginia.

Connolly’s first event will be a roads and bridges roundtable at the Stringfellow Park and Ride Station in Centreville, Virginia. The roundtable will highlight the road and bridge construction and repair, with a focus on climate change, mitigation, resilience, equity, and safety for all users.

On Wednesday, Connolly will host an energy and environment tour of the Prince William County Service Authority’s water treatment facility. During this tour and discussion Connolly will hear how new projects will be implemented to ensure we are delivering clean water to all American families and work towards removing lead service lines.

On Thursday, Connolly will convene NoVa leaders for a Metro and VRE roundtable. The Bipartisan Infrastructure law  has made the largest investment in passenger rail and public transit. This discussion will highlight how through federal funding will be used to expand transit options for millions of Americans, reducing congestion and greenhouse gas emissions.
