“Today, after lying to the American people and debasing the House of Representatives for 20 months, Republicans have at last released the report on their sham impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden. We now know definitively what we have long suspected to be true – House Republicans, driven purely by partisanship, bad-faith politics, and blind loyalty to the convicted felon Donald Trump, have absolutely nothing to show for the ‘investigation’ they have been pretending to conduct for nearly two years. This report, released during August recess and the Democratic National Convention in an attempt to spare themselves the embarrassment of widespread coverage, marks the latest in a long string of humiliations for House Republicans. Their impeachment inquiry now joins the rest of their legislative agenda in the only place it belongs – the garbage.”
