This weekend, Congressman Gerry Connolly is scheduled to accompany President Obama to Germany to attend the 41st meeting of world leaders at the G7 Summit.

Connolly (D-VA) is a member of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs.

The G7 Summit, scheduled for June 7-8, is being held at Schloss Elmau in Krun, Bavaria, Germany.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel is hosting the economic summit of heads of state of the G7 nations: the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and the United Kingdom.  The European Union will also be represented at the session.

The focus of the G7 meeting will be the global economy and key issues regarding foreign, security, and development policy
