Connolly Statement on Designation of $100 Million in TMF Funds for Improving Digital Services and Customer Experience

Congressman Gerry Connolly (D-VA), Chairman of the House Subcommittee on Government Operations, released the following statement applauding the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and the General Services Administration’s (GSA) announcement that $100 million from the Technology Modernization Fund is being designated to help streamline and improve digital services to deliver better customer experiences:

“As I highlighted at my recent hearing, my vision for the Technology Modernization Fund when I created it in 2017 was to improve how government serves families, businesses, and individuals who rely on it. This $100 million funding carve out for projects focused on reducing wait times, streamlining paperwork, and simplifying complicated websites drives us to that goal.”
