President Biden recently released his American Jobs Plan, a bold and historic proposal to finally invest in American infrastructure and ensure our country is equipped and ready to build back better than before.
Specifically, President Biden’s plan will:
- Fix highways, rebuild bridges, and upgrade ports, airports, and transit systems.
- Deliver clean drinking water, a renewed electric grid, and high-speed broadband to all Americans.
- Build, preserve, and retrofit more than two million homes and commercial buildings.
- Modernize our nation’s schools and child care facilities, and upgrade veterans’ hospitals and federal buildings.
- Solidify the infrastructure of our care economy by creating jobs and raising wages and benefits for essential home care workers.
- Revitalize manufacturing, invest in R&D, and train Americans for the jobs of the future.
- Create good-quality, good-paying jobs while ensuring workers have a free and fair choice to organize, join a union, and bargain collectively with their employers.
Alongside the American Jobs Plan, President Biden is releasing the Made in America Tax Plan to ensure corporations pay their fair share in taxes and encourage job creation at home.
Profitable corporations should not be able to get away with paying little or no tax by shifting jobs and profits overseas. President Biden’s plan will reward investment at home, stop profit shifting, and ensure other nations won’t gain a competitive edge by becoming tax-havens.
