Now, Elon Musk is using DOGE to infiltrate government agencies, execute mass illegal firings, creep on Americans' most sensitive data, and even undermine Social Security to set the stage for Republican cuts. The Trump Administration and Republicans in Congress have tried to shield DOGE from transparency and accountability as it carries out President Trump and Elon Musk's bidding from the shadows. This cannot continue. Democrats on the Oversight Committee are leading the fight to drag DOGE out of the darkness and make sure Trump and Musk are held accountable for the pain, chaos, and corruption they have forced on the American people. As Ranking Member, I have led Committee Democrats in initiating more than 150 investigations and inquiries, filing a three-part FOIA request, and introducing two formal House Resolutions of Inquiry. These include more than 1,000 requests for information and documentation directed at the Trump Administration, Elon Musk, and DOGE on issues related to national security, the illegal termination of federal employees, the unlawful and wholesale dismantling of federal agencies, and rampant conflicts of interest and corruption.We have built a strong coalition to investigate, litigate, and terminate the dangerous and unlawful abuses of this Administration.
