Connolly Renews Call for Speaker Johnson to Allow a Vote on National Security Package in the House

Congressman Gerry Connolly (D-VA), a senior member of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs and the former President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, released the following statement after Iran's attack against Israel:

"I unequivocally condemn Iran's attack against Israel. For nearly two months, the House GOP has refused to bring up the bipartisan national security supplemental package that passed the Senate 70-29. Speaker Johnson must quit playing politics and let the House vote this week."

Connolly is a signer of the discharge petition to force a vote on the supplemental security package in the House.
