Dear Neighbor,
Over the weekend, I joined Alex Witt on MSNBC to discuss Postmaster General Louis DeJoy's disastrous 10-year "plan" for the US Postal Service. The plan went into effect on Friday, and is expected to force you to pay more for worse, delayed mail service.
I have been a vocal critic of the DeJoy Delays. I believe his plan is a shortsighted, linear approach to a long-term, complex problem that will ultimately put USPS on a path to ruin.
As I said on MSNBC, we must focus our efforts on replacing the Trump holdovers on the Postal Board of Governors with Biden-appointed champions of the Postal Service. And Congress must pass our Postal Service Reform Act, which the Oversight and Reform Committee has already approved on a bipartisan basis.
