Connolly Statement on Metro GM Personnel Actions Following the Falls Church Derailment

Congressman Gerry Connolly released the following statement after Metro General Manager Paul Wiedefeld announced 28 personnel actions, including 6 terminations and 9 more pending:

"I applaud the tough decisions and decisive personnel actions by Metro General Manager Paul Wiedefeld. Accountability and commitment to safety must be the new standard. This should serve as a clarion call to the workforce, from top-to-bottom, that the status quo is no longer acceptable."
